I spent the first 11 years of my life living up in Springton, it's a peaceful and quite place.
My husband lived in Springton 1954-55, when the mine was still working. His father was the manager (perhaps the last?) of the company store. At that time, the post office was in the single story part of the store building, on the left.
This is not the Springton Post Office. This is the Springton Colliery Company Store built by Semet Solvay Company in the early 1900s. Currently owned by a family member.
